CELTIC RECEIVE TOUGH BLOW AHEAD OF RANGERS CLASH

Celtic vs Rangers is perhaps the only match that matters in Scotland and on Sunday, the Hoops will be facing their arch enemies in the League Cup Final with hopes of lifting it once more and continue to rub it on the face of their rivals.

Celtic has had the upper hand in recent times and their two-nil win over Rangers last time out is testament to how the Blues and Whites are yet to match up with the Green and White stripes.

For the latest clash in town though, Celtic is facing a much difficult task because their top striker is now set to miss the final. Edouard picked up a knock recently and hasn’t been back since.

With Rangers looking more dangerous by the day given that they are inches away from qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League, their progress as a team will certainly add to Celtic’s troubles.

Rangers fell off the heights of Scottish football and every other thing they have built on when they got relegated to the bottomless pit of lower leagues. Since coming back to the top flight, Celtic have still remained the dominant side but it only a matter of time before the El Clasico of Scotland becomes as hot as it used to be.

The last win over Rangers was well fought and won by Celtic and even the absence of Edouard shouldn’t stop them from dispatching a Rangers side that is just not up to par with them.

Should Rangers have the upper hand on Sunday, the reigns Celtic had over Scotland can be said to be challenged once more. During their rivals’ exile, the league almost turned into a high school parade with just one popular kid: the Celts.
