There are a lot of new features and ideas that we want to see in FIFA 18. Today, we talk about all of the major wishlists for FIFA 18. What do you want to see in the next FIFA? The last FIFA wishlist was successful as EA implemented few of what we wanted for FIFA 17.
The latest FIFA was somewhat fulfilling for most of the gamers who have been playing the game for a long time but there are still tons of features that we want to see in the next game; FIFA 18.
In the past, we have seen EA work off a public demand list from the internet. So, there is an actual chance that EA will look at our wishlist. Don’t forget to leave your wishlist in the comment section. (We might update this article with your ideas)
- Advanced AI
Yes, we talk about this wishlist every year but that’s because we are still not satisfied. The new AI system is definitely the best among all the previous ones but there are still too many things that EA has to add in order to make it look like playing like a real opposition. Not to mention EA needs to fix existing bugs and glitches in the current game before moving on to adding features on FIFA 18.
- Champions League
It is kind of a setback for EA Sports that they cannot get rights for the Champions League for their FIFA series. It is a major topic brought when people compare FIFA versus PES as PES developers Konami have the best league competition in the world. EA should buy out the clause Konami has with UEFA even if it costs them a lot of money. It wouldn’t be difficult for EA to earn the money back since the have EURO Cup, Champions League and Europa League in the game.
- Bring Back Old Penalty Kick
Yes, it’s fancy but we hate it. There are a lot of people on FIFA community that want the previous Penalty Kick style back. There has been a lot of misses already which has led to tons of broken controllers, especially when you are playing a ranked match.
We would like to see tons of new celebrations added in FIFA 18. The number of signature celebrations is increasing and not to mention the generic celebrations that most players use.
The game development committee should think about how to add more and more celebration for a single player. This way we would not run out of different celebrations for our top scorer.
- Lifelike Player faces
It has been brought to attention every year when the new FIFA is released that, the game face for players are not good enough. EA focuses on perfecting the popular player faces and leaving the rest of others with the somewhat similar face.
We are not asking that FIFA 18 needs to have all the player’s face to be perfect but EA has to move on to the lesser famous players and work on their details. Memphis Depay finally got his face in FIFA 17 but another Manchester United teammate Eric Bailey is still a default face in the game.
Talking about faces, check out the next wish list.
- Career Mode – Get your face in the game!
EA Sports implemented the feature to upload your face while creating a player back in FIFA 11 but it was not a success. They continued the scan feature for some time but it has not been improved on yet. We would like the see this fixed for FIFA 2018 game.
Creating a face (not uploading your own) for your created player also need improvement. If the settings were changed to something easier, most FIFA 18 career mode players will actually use this creating the face and physical option.
- A longer Story Mode: The Journey 2?
The biggest thing about the current FIFA game is the inclusion of the story mode; The Journey. We give credits to EA from starting the mode but it’s too short for most of us.
We got the chills, as well as the cries, form the story mode and it was a good first draft. We want it to last longer than 6 hours of gameplay.
- More leagues/clubs for the story mode
With what we mean but more options here is more clubs. EA implemented the Journey just for the Premier League clubs but the fans all around the world want to start it with their local clubs.
Also, it would be realistic if a player from lower division moves on to a higher in their own country and then signing up for a big club.
- Real Time Awards
We want this feature to be a real thing at least for the next career mode. All major award ceremony is the huge part of the footballing world with the Player of the Year or Ballon D’Or being the most watched and significant among others.
It will give a sense of satisfaction for the gamer to win the awards after a successful season with the club. Scoring more goals to win the Golden Boots award would make the players step up their gameplay.
- Realistic Managers in Gameplay
EA did a great job adding the manager animations in their latest version of FIFA.
They make the game look more real; like a live telecast. But, the thing that is missing is the realistic movements, shouts, and anger. Also, adding more manager in the game would make it look more real-like.
- Let the referees make mistakes
We hate to admit it but referees make mistakes; it’s a part of the game. EA should let the game flow naturally with plugging on some scripts that clouds referee’s judgment like not having a clear view of the ball/gameplay or controversial offside calls.
The real game is never perfect and the developers should really look into that.
- Improve Commentators
The game is using the same or similar commentary for the last five years. The voices of Alan Smith and Martin Tylor has set the standards of the in-game commentaries but it’s time to bring in some of the new ones.
Also, there are bugs in FIFA 17 that are related to the commentary. The significant ones are repeating the same thing more than once and note speaking for a while.
- Better Crowds and Chants
The crowd is also a huge part of the game. They are the ones who set the temperament of the game, they are the ones the players are playing for.
The new gaming engine has improved the gameplay but the crowd rendering is not much changed. We need to feel the real atmosphere of the game.
- Even more leagues and club
Yup! There are people who still are not satisfied with the new clubs included in FIFA 17.
People from all over the world want their local league and clubs in the game. EA should try to get at least all the first division clubs from football playing nations.
- New national teams including Iceland
The decision to not include Iceland in FIFA 17 cost the greatly as it started speculations that EA is only in it for the money. But, they are going to fix it in the next game as EA sent an email to the head of Icelandic Football Association telling him that they are going to include not only the men’s team but also the female team in FIFA 18.
Since they are trying to prove they are not for the money, how about adding all the football playing teams and end it. They are not a lot left anyways.
- Focus on Women’s football
We thought that EA is going to improve on women’s football which was introduced on FIFA 16.
The number of women gamers increased but the game has not been focused on them. The FIFA community is expecting some real changed to improve women’s game in FIFA 18.
- Fix all the glitches
I can’t stress enough on this one but the glitches on FIFA 17 are annoying. We are pleading for EA to really look into it. There are some big bugs in the gameplay, the commentary, and graphics that the developers of the game need address as soon as possible.
A way to figure this out would be to gradually fix the bugs and letting the gamers update and contribute with the debugging.
18. Release Clauses
FIFA 18 manager mode and story mode should have buy back contract clauses implemented in them.
FIFA 18 Release Clause
The game should be advanced enough to cover all the managerial and contract uses that happens in real life football. This will make the game more authentic.
